About Reka Gyulai

Reka Gyulai received her professional training at the Hungarian Dance Academy in Budapest, Hungary, where she was trained by prominent ballet figures including Imre Dozsa, Zoltan Solymosi, and Mark Diamond. Reka was a finalist at the International Ballet Competition in Vienna in 2004. In 2006, she received the prestigious Elvira Vecsei Prize and a Scholarship of the Republic from the Hungarian Ministry of Education.

Ms. Gyulai has performed with the Hungarian National Ballet, Columbia Classical Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, New Jersey Ballet Company, International Ballet Company, Dance Alive National Ballet in Florida, Ballet Collective San Diego, Ballet Counterpointe, Pointeworks, Grand American Ballet and California Ballet Company in San Diego. She toured extensively with these companies to Russia, Transylvania, Brazil, South France, Italy, Switzerland and throughout the United States. Her repertoire includes principal roles in The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Wizard of Oz, Don Quixote, Walpurgis Night, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, The Phantom of the Opera, and others, as well as contemporary works by Adam Hougland, Edwaard Liang, Ashley Page, Marcello Angelini, Ma Cong, Kevin Jenkins, Jared Nelson, Holly Curran, Luc Louis de Lairesse, Ching Ching Wong, Garrett Smith and Septime Webre.

Reka is also an emerging choreographer and has set works for Ballet Collective San Diego, Grand American Ballet and Pointeworks.

About Joseph Gatti

Artistic Director Of United Ballet Theatre & Academy/International Principal Guest Artist.

DANCE CAREER:

Former Cincinnati Ballet, Corella Ballet Principal Dancer and Boston Ballet.

Born in Warwick, New York and raised in Orlando, Florida. Mr Gatti danced with Orlando Ballet as an apprentice 2001-2003 under the leadership of Fernando Bujones. In 2003 he was awarded the Gold Medal and a Scholarship to the Royal Ballet School in London. Upon graduating with honors he received the 2004 Dame Ruth Railton Award for Excellence in Dance. In 2005 he became the first American Male Dancer to win the prestigious Gold Medal at the New York International Ballet Competition. Joseph was nominated for best male dancer at the 2006 Benois de la Danse in Moscow, Russia.  The Benois de la Danse is one of the most prestigious ballet competitions. Mr Gatti was a Bronze Medalist at the USA International Ballet Competition, Silver Medalist at the Seoul International Ballet Competition in Korea and Istanbul Ballet Competition. In 2007 Joseph received the Gold Medal at the first World Ballet Competition in Florida. In 2013 Joseph received the Mr. Virtousity Award at the Dance Open Ballet Festival in Saint-Petersburg, Russia and 2014 he received " Best Pas De Duex" award at the Dance Open Festival in Saint- Petersburg , Russia . He has had the privilege to work with many choreographers and master teachers such a as Natalia Makarova, Val Caniparoli, Wayne McGregor, Angel Corella, Jorma Elo, Jiri Kylian, Twyla Tharp, Christopher Wheeldon and many more. Joseph is also a master teacher of ballet, guest teaching around the world from the Ballet Philippines Company and School, National Capital School Of Ballet ( Australia) YAGP and much more.

UNITED BALLET THEATRE

Joseph has had the privilege working with some of the top fitness experts and physical therapists of today like Peter Donohoe and Doctor of Physical Therapy for the Boston Ballet Heather Southwick. Joseph’s experience and knowledge has helped him create his own Ballet Company, UNITED BALLET THEATRE.

A company revolutionizing how Ballet Companies train and think by caring and treating for the dancers not only as artists but athletes as well. It has been highly praised, surpassing expectations set for a brand new company. UBT was founded in 2018 and is continually growing and gaining respect from dancers, directors and choreographers from around the world.
