Thacker Mountain Radio Hour brings its live performance and public radio show to the stage! With a 27-year legacy of showcasing the South's stories and sounds, Thacker Mountain, hosted by Jim Dees and the Yalobushwhackers, features top literary talent and emerging musicians, broadcasting weekly across Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and beyond.

This special edition of Thacker Mountain Radio Hour will feature an exclusive live performance by 5th Child, one of the South’s most groundbreaking hip-hop artists. Hailing from Jackson, MS, 5th Child will be backed by an ensemble from the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, blending southern bravado with thought-provoking and soulful lyrics for a high-energy, unforgettable experience.

Also joining the lineup is Jackson-based singer-songwriter Eric Stracener, known for his literary and evocative songs that reflect the rich culture and landscapes of the South. Eric’s latest album, "Ocean Springs," produced in Nashville with legends Will Kimbrough and Neilson Hubbard, showcases his deep connection to southern storytelling.
